Nigel Vaz

Nigel Vaz is the CEO of Publicis Sapient, a digital business transformation company that supports organizations in adapting and thriving in an increasingly digital environment. Vaz also serves as a member of the Publicis Groupe Executive Committee and as global lead of digital business transformation for the communication, media, data, and technology group. Prior to his current role, Vaz was CEO of Sapient's international business and served as the company's global chief strategy officer, contributing to the expansion of Sapient across the East Coast of the United States and internationally.

With more than 25 years at Publicis Sapient, Vaz has acted as a strategic advisor on complex digital transformation initiatives for clients in industries such as financial services, automotive, retail, consumer products, telecommunications, media, and technology. Publicis Sapient's client roster includes Carrefour, Goldman Sachs, Marriott, McDonald's, Nationwide, Nissan, and Unilever. Vaz played a key role in refocusing the company on digital business transformation, which contributed to significant revenue growth and positioned Publicis Sapient as a leading performer within Publicis Groupe.

Vaz has led the development of proprietary artificial intelligence tools, including Sapient Slingshot and Bodhi, which automate complex business processes and support enterprise-scale AI adoption. His approach emphasizes combining human ingenuity with intelligent platforms and operational discipline to drive measurable business impact. Before joining Sapient, Vaz co-founded a public company specializing in internet consulting and connectivity solutions.

Vaz is the author of the business book "Digital Business Transformation – How Established Companies Sustain Competitive Advantage from Now to Next," which draws on his experience helping clients leverage digital technology for sustained growth. With a background in business strategy, Vaz has worked at the intersection of strategic thinking, creativity, and technology to help organizations build sustainable value propositions. He has also spoken about his experience growing up with dysgraphia, a disability affecting fine motor skills, which has informed his perspective on the human impact of technology.

He has served as president of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and as a board director of The Marketing Society.
