Nicole Rémy

Nicole Rémy is a media personality, software engineer, and television star recognized as the lead of the reality dating series "The Courtship." Rémy's career spans architecture, professional dance, technology, and entertainment. As the daughter of a Haitian immigrant father and a French-Creole mother, Rémy has held leadership roles in predominantly white spaces since childhood, aiming to pave the way for greater diversity in technology, media, and sports entertainment.

Rémy attended the University of Southern California on a Dean Academic scholarship, where she was a member of the USC Song Girls for two years and served as president of Kappa Kappa Gamma before graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in GeoDesign. She began her professional journey as an architecture associate, designing commercial and residential buildings. While working full time in architecture, Rémy also danced with the Seattle Seahawks NFL cheerleading team as a Sea Gal for two years. During the pandemic, she transitioned to technology, learning to code and joining the founding team of a tech startup as a software engineer and product manager. Rémy furthered her technical skills by earning a certificate in full-stack development from the University of Washington.

Rémy gained national attention as the star of "The Courtship," a Jane Austen-inspired reality dating series on NBC and USA Network. The show featured 16 suitors competing for Rémy's affections, filmed at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, England, with participants dressed in Regency-inspired costumes. Rémy's casting as a Black woman of Haitian descent marked a significant moment for representation in reality television, where Black women have often been underrepresented. She has spoken about the impact of engaging in face-to-face connections and the unique perspective it brought to her views on dating.

After "The Courtship," Rémy expanded her role in media and sports entertainment, returning to the Seattle Seahawks as the in-game host and media host. She appears at Lumen Field, Touchdown City, training camps, and on Seahawks social media platforms. Rémy also works as a marketing consultant and serves as marketing director and office manager at Remy Properties LLC. Through her work in technology, media, and sports, Rémy addresses themes of representation, resilience, and authentic connection.
