Nico Caprez

Nico Caprez is the vice president of global AI infrastructure growth at NVIDIA, where he leads global strategy and execution to scale artificial intelligence infrastructure across cloud providers, enterprises, and strategic partners worldwide. In this role, Caprez is responsible for driving ecosystem expansion, enabling large-scale AI platform deployment, and advancing partnerships that accelerate the adoption of accelerated computing globally. His progression within NVIDIA includes roles as corporate development manager and director of global AI infrastructure enablement for NVIDIA cloud partners before assuming his current position.

Before joining NVIDIA, Caprez developed a multidisciplinary background spanning finance, investment, and strategy consulting. He served as an investment analyst focused on technology-driven opportunities across public and private markets, with experience at firms including PSQUARED Asset Management and Moonfire Ventures. Caprez began his career at Boston Consulting Group, advising multinational corporations and government institutions on strategy, large-scale transformation, and growth initiatives, including defining national information and communications technology sector strategies and structuring complex telecom spectrum bids. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a bachelor's degree in banking and finance from the University of Zurich.

Caprez has contributed to the global conversation on AI infrastructure, appearing at forums including NVIDIA's GTC Paris, the Milken Institute Global Conference, and Utah's Operation Gigawatt Summit. At GTC Paris, he spoke on the state of AI infrastructure in Europe, and at the Operation Gigawatt Summit he addressed the partnerships required to support affordable, reliable power at scale for AI workloads. Caprez has advocated for the development of sovereign AI infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of nations building their own AI capabilities rather than relying on imports, reflecting NVIDIA's philosophy on the democratization of accelerated computing.
