Neal McCoy

Neal McCoy is a country music singer known for his baritone voice, energetic stage presence, and diverse musical influences. Raised on a blend of country, R&B, jazz, and disco, McCoy developed his skills performing in clubs and bars across Texas before winning a talent contest hosted by Janie Fricke, which led to an opportunity to open for Charley Pride on tour. For several years, McCoy toured with Pride, serving as his opening act and building a foundation in the country music industry.

McCoy achieved commercial success with the platinum-certified album "No Doubt About It," which produced consecutive number one singles, "No Doubt About It" and "Wink." The single "Wink" held the Number One position on the music charts for a month and remained on the charts longer than any other single that year. His success continued with additional platinum and gold albums and multiple top 10 hits. The album "You Gotta Love That" also went platinum, producing three No. 3 singles: the title track, "For a Change," and "They're Playin' Our Song." McCoy later established his own record label, 903 Music, and achieved another top 10 hit with "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On" from the album "That's Life."

Throughout his career, McCoy has demonstrated versatility as a recording artist. "Music of Your Life," a big band jazz and country project with Les Brown, Jr., was recorded for a public television special, highlighting his range beyond traditional country music. He later released "XII," produced by Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, who also provided backup vocals on the single "A-OK." McCoy released "Pride: A Tribute to Charley Pride," honoring his longtime friend and mentor. His work has been recognized with several awards, including Grammy Awards, TNN/Music City News Country Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards. His performances, which often include break-dancing, have distinguished him within the country music scene.

In addition to his musical career, McCoy is recognized for his patriotism and humanitarian efforts. He has participated in 17 USO Tours worldwide and has received multiple humanitarian awards from the Academy of Country Music, Country Radio Broadcasters, and the Masonic Grand Lodge. McCoy began reciting the Pledge of Allegiance live on his Facebook page every morning, reaching millions of viewers nationally and internationally. He also supports the East Texas Angel Network, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in East Texas with terminal or life-threatening illnesses. With a catalog of fifteen studio albums, numerous chart singles, and an ongoing touring schedule, McCoy maintains a significant presence in American country music.
