Nathan Minns

Nathan Minns is a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, conference emcee, and founder of Green Light Improv. Green Light Improv is a professional training company that uses improv comedy as a tool to cultivate resilience, enhance creativity, and improve communication, inspiring connection in corporate and organizational settings. Minns has worked with teams across five continents, including startups and Fortune 500 companies, to help them communicate with confidence and lead under pressure.

Beginning his career as an actor, Minns discovered that his acting training positively influenced his professional skills, including creativity, confidence, communication, and decision-making. He recognized the value of improv training for personal and professional growth and developed programs focused on the life benefits of improv, rather than performance.

An Ohio State University graduate, Minns has spent much of his career in the startup ecosystem as both an employee and a three-time founder. His online courses on web design have attracted more than 60,000 enrollments from 179 countries. He has led startup initiatives for major corporations and served as the youngest board member at a youth leadership development nonprofit. As a mentor and certified facilitator for Techstars, Minns has developed expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship. He also serves as a co-lecturer at The Ohio State University College of Social Work, where he integrates improv exercises to enhance active listening skills among graduate students.

Minns is the creator of the card game "Pivot Pitch," which promotes communication skills beyond traditional training environments. He has taught innovation strategy to the U.S. federal government and coached entrepreneurs worldwide. Faculty at the Fisher College of Business have noted Green Light Improv's workshops for fostering vulnerability and building valuable team bonds.
