Lanxon is a journalist and editor on Bloomberg's global technology team and primarily focuses on the impact of the industry and its businesses on the consumer. He regularly appears on Bloomberg TV and radio, recently dissecting topics such as the Facebook and Cambridge Analytica data scandal and Elon Musk's SpaceX. He also contributes features to Businessweek and Bloomberg.com.
Lanxon joined Bloomberg in 2015 after spending five years as an editor and writer at Wired magazine, initially to launch and manage the European edition of Bloomberg.com. He has been a part of the newsroom's European technology team since its creation in 2016 and worked on stories relating to the tax affairs of the world's largest technology companies, the WannaCry ransomware attacks, and the impact cryptocurrency ownership of a deceased person can have on their heirs' inheritance.
Lanxon has been covering the technology for more than 12 years and has written for publications such as Wired, CNET.com, Ars Technica and GQ. He has been a regular technology commentator on British television for outlets such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky News, and was a one-time guest judge on a technology-focused episode of the BBC's The Apprentice.
