Myles Turner

Myles Turner is currently a professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers. His journey to the pros began at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas. He then played at the collegiate level for the University of Texas, and was drafted 11th overall in the 2015 NBA draft.

Turner was a relatively unknown high school basketball player until his junior year, when he averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 blocks per game. During his senior campaign, his averages jumped to 18.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 6.8 blocks per game. He was rated as a five-star recruit and ultimately chose to play at the University of Texas. Prior to his college debut, Turner was selected to play in the McDonald’s All American Game and represent the gold medal winning United States in the FIBA America’s Under-18 Championship.

Turner played his freshman season at Texas, averaging 10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. He was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team, Big 12 All-Newcomer Team, All-Big 12 Third Team, and won the Big 12 Freshman of the Year award. He chose to enter the 2015 NBA draft, and was selected 11th overall by the Indiana Pacers.

After a strong rookie season where Myles helped the Pacers return to the playoffs and had season averages of 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks, Myles is hungry to build on that success. Myles took tremendous advantage of the opportunity of being on the USA Select team over the summer as he was making plays all over the court and impressed his fellow players. With his development and training, Myles is ready to help the Pacers reach new heights this season as he has individually reached new levels.

Off the court, Myles enjoys cooking, playing video games with his friends and spending time with his family.
