Mo’Ne Davis

Mo’ne Davis is a groundbreaking athlete, broadcaster and advocate who rose to international prominence at age 13 when she became the first girl in Little League World Series history to earn a pitching victory and throw a shutout. Playing for Philadelphia’s Taney Dragons in 2014, Davis struck out eight batters in a 4–0 win over Nashville, captivating audiences around the world and becoming a symbol of possibility for girls in sports. She became the first Little League player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated and went on to receive an ESPY Award and widespread recognition for her historic achievement.

Davis continued her athletic career at Hampton University, where she played softball, while also excelling in soccer and basketball. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Hampton and later a master's degree in sports management from Columbia University. Beyond playing, she has worked as an analyst for ESPN's Little League World Series coverage, contributed to baseball broadcasts, and gained video-production experience through internships with MLB Network and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In November 2025, Davis returned to competitive baseball and was selected 10th overall by Los Angeles in the inaugural Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) draft. In April 2026, she added another chapter to her baseball comeback by joining the Indianapolis Clowns, a team in the Banana Ball Championship League. She subsequently took the field for Los Angeles when the WPBL launched its inaugural season in August 2026.

Davis has become an influential voice for women in sports. She has expressed a particular interest in broadcasting and creating media that highlights the personalities and stories of female athletes, with an ambition to give audiences a deeper view of athletes beyond their performances.
