Mona Ataya

Mona Ataya is a leading entrepreneur in the Middle East, recognized as the founder and CEO of Mumzworld, an online marketplace dedicated to mothers, babies, and children in the Arab world. Ataya's career in e-commerce and digital business development was shaped by experience at global companies such as Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. She was a co-founder of Bayt.com, a prominent job site in the Middle East and North Africa region, where she served as vice president of marketing. Bayt.com became a major recruitment platform for the MENA region.

Ataya's second entrepreneurial venture, Mumzworld, was inspired by her personal experiences as a mother seeking reliable advice and products for her family. Mumzworld offers more than 250,000 products, serves a broad community, and delivers to over 20 countries, providing fast and cost-effective service. Under Ataya's leadership, the company has secured multiple rounds of funding and established itself as the top women-led e-commerce business in the Middle East.

Ataya's vision for Mumzworld extends beyond commerce, with a focus on empowering women throughout the region and supporting mothers in their daily lives. She was the first woman from the Middle East selected for the Endeavor global entrepreneur network and serves as a board member of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Ataya is also a UNCTAD advocate, working to create opportunities for women in the digital ecosystem.
