Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is recognized as a leading footballer and winger, known for his goal-scoring achievements and influence in Egyptian football. Salah is the all-time top foreign goalscorer in the Premier League and the all-time top African goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League. His professional journey began at Al-Mokawloon in Egypt before moving to Basel, where he won the Swiss Super League twice. Salah later joined Chelsea, becoming the first Egyptian to play for the club, and spent loan periods at Fiorentina and Roma before signing permanently with Roma. After a second-place finish in Serie A, Salah transferred to Liverpool.

During nine seasons at Liverpool, Salah set a Premier League record by scoring 32 goals in a single 38-game season. He received the Premier League Player of the Season award, becoming the first Egyptian and third Liverpool player to earn the honor. Salah contributed to Liverpool's Champions League victory in Madrid, scoring a penalty in the opening minutes of the final. His tenure at Liverpool included eight major trophies: two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup, and a UEFA Super Cup. Salah won four Premier League Golden Boots, equaling Thierry Henry, and became the first player to win the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Golden Playmaker awards in a single season. He also became the first African player to reach 50 Champions League goals.

On the international stage, Salah has been a central figure for the Egyptian national team, serving as captain and helping Egypt qualify for the FIFA World Cup after a long absence. He played a key role in Egypt's first-ever World Cup victory, contributing a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win against New Zealand. Salah has earned more than 119 caps for Egypt and has received multiple individual honors, including several Premier League Golden Boots, two CAF African Footballer of the Year awards, and two BBC African Footballer of the Year awards.

After his time at Liverpool, Salah joined Trabzonspor, becoming the fourth Egyptian to play for the Turkish club. Trabzonspor is the sixth European club of his career, following Basel, Fiorentina, Roma, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
