Mitchell Hooper is a Canadian professional strongman, kinesiologist, and one of the most accomplished athletes of his generation. Known by his nickname “The Moose,” Hooper rapidly rose to prominence after entering the sport in 2022, reaching the World’s Strongest Man final in his rookie season.
In 2023, Hooper captured the prestigious World’s Strongest Man title, becoming the first Canadian to win the competition. He has since established himself as one of strongman’s dominant competitors, earning major victories at events including the Arnold Strongman Classic, Rogue Invitational, and Strongest Man on Earth.
Before becoming an elite strongman, Hooper built a foundation in human performance, earning degrees in human kinetics and clinical exercise physiology. His scientific approach to training, combined with a background that includes endurance sports and strength training, has helped distinguish him as an analytical and versatile competitor.
Beyond competition, Hooper is known for his educational approach to fitness, sharing insights on training, mindset, and performance while operating a kinesiology practice in Ontario.
