Miles Austin Biography
Miles Austin is a former professional football wide receiver best known for his time with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Born in Summit, New Jersey, he played college football at Monmouth University, where he set school records and showcased the talent that earned him a chance in the league despite going undrafted in 2006. Austin broke out in 2009 with the Cowboys, recording over 1,300 receiving yards and earning his first of two Pro Bowl selections.
Over his ten-year NFL career, Austin played primarily with Dallas but also had stints with the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, finishing with more than 5,000 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns. After retiring as a player, Austin transitioned into coaching and front-office roles, including serving as the New York Jets’ wide receivers coach from 2021 to 2023. His journey from an undrafted free agent to a Pro Bowl star and later a mentor on the sidelines highlights his perseverance and enduring impact on the game.
