Mike Shildt

Mike Shildt's journey in Major League Baseball (MLB) began as a coach and later as a professional baseball manager for the St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres. His tenure as manager of the Cardinals spanned from 2018 to 2021, during which he led the team to multiple playoff appearances. One of the defining moments of his managerial career came in 2021 when Shildt's Cardinals set a franchise record with a 17-game winning streak. He then transitioned to coach the San Diego Padres in 2022 and 2023, eventually stepping up as the team's manager in November 2023 for the 2024 season.

In 2019, Shildt was honored as the National League Manager of the Year. His managerial prowess was further exemplified by his .562 career-winning percentage, placing him as the sixth-winningest manager in baseball since 1947 among those who have managed at least 450 games.
