Mike Ryan

Mike Ryan is a country singer-songwriter and frontman of the Mike Ryan Band, known for his soulful voice, thoughtful songwriting, and gritty blend of Texas country and southern rock that has earned him a devoted following across the Lone Star State and beyond. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Ryan grew up in a musical family -- his grandfather led the Texas National Guard Band for more than two decades and his father played bass in a bluegrass group and appeared in local musical theater -- before finding his own musical voice on guitar and in songwriting while attending the University of North Texas.

Ryan began his recording career with the 2010 EP The First One and followed it with his full-length debut Night Comes Falling in 2012, marking the start of a prolific run as a recording artist. His 2014 album Bad Reputation produced multiple number-one hits on the Texas country music charts—including “Dancing All Around It,” “Wasting No More Whiskey,” and the title track—and helped him win New Male Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Regional Radio Awards.

Over the next decade, Ryan built his reputation as a dynamic live performer and prolific songwriter, releasing albums and singles such as Blink You’ll Miss It (2017), Longcut (2022), and songs like “New Hometown”, “Can Down”, and “Jacket On” that became staples on Texas country radio. Along the way he co-wrote the Brad Paisley Top 20 hit “Last Time for Everything,” with Paisley also contributing guitar to his track “The Rewrite.”

Ryan’s career milestones include national exposure through SiriusXM airplay, a performance at the White House Fourth of July celebration, and his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2022, underscoring his growth from regional favorite to artist with a broader audience.
