Mike Logan

Mike Logan is a former professional football safety who built a decade-long career in the National Football League, recognized for his versatility and defensive skills. Logan played as a safety in the NFL and was a four-year regular at cornerback and a standout return specialist at West Virginia University. Under coach Don Nehlen, Logan was a highly regarded recruit from Pennsylvania, though his college career was affected by repeated arm injuries. He earned first-team All-Big East honors at cornerback and second-team all-conference recognition as a return specialist. Logan received the Scott Shirley Award, presented to West Virginia's top special teams player, and the Gridiron Gladiator Award for on-field intensity.

Following his college career, Logan was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent four seasons with the Jaguars before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers. Logan recorded a personal best of 60 tackles with the Jaguars and later achieved a career-high 94 tackles with the Steelers. Over his NFL career, he accumulated 314 tackles, five interceptions, 30 passes defended, and seven forced fumbles.

Logan was part of the Pittsburgh Steelers team that won Super Bowl XL against the Seattle Seahawks. He is the only Steelers player to have worn number 31 since the retirement of Donnie Shell. Logan's achievements at both the collegiate and professional levels led to his induction into the West Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

After retiring from professional football, Logan transitioned into sports media. He remained in Pittsburgh and co-hosted the afternoon radio show "The Drive with Paulsen, Logan & Mack" on 1250 ESPN Radio. Logan also hosted a weekly show for TribLive Media and provided color commentary for the Pittsburgh Power Arena League Football Team. His career reflects a continued commitment to football, both on the field and in sports broadcasting.
