Mike Hill

Mike Hill is a sports broadcaster and television personality whose career spans more than three decades across major networks in American sports media. After serving as a reservist in the U.S. Air Force following high school, Hill began his broadcasting career as sports director at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland. He later worked at KSEE in Fresno, California, before joining WKRN-TV in Nashville, where he earned two Sports Emmy Awards for his coverage of local high school football and was recognized by The Tennessean as Best Sportscaster for People Who Don't Love Sports.

Hill advanced through prominent markets and networks, including hosting at Fox Sports Net in New York City and serving as a sports anchor at KXAS-TV in Dallas, Texas. At ESPN, Hill hosted "Hill and Schlereth" with Mark Schlereth on ESPN Radio and appeared on "SportsCenter," "ESPN First Take," "NFL Live," and "Baseball Tonight." He joined FOX Sports as part of FS1's launch, taking on hosting roles for game breaks during FOX NFL and college football contests, as well as studio programming for college football, college basketball, and MLB games on FOX and FS1. Hill also hosts "Inside the Big East."

In addition to his work in sports broadcasting, Hill has pursued creative projects in film and theater, including a lead role in The African Globe Theater of Newark's off-Broadway production of "Miss Evers' Boys." He has made guest-hosting appearances on Entertainment Tonight and operates Thrill of Entertainment, a multimedia production company based in Marina Del Rey. Hill contributed to the creation of the web series "Both Sides of the Ball" at ESPN and later developed "Keepin' It Real with Mike Hill" for FOXSports.com.

Hill is also recognized for his advocacy on mental health and personal resilience. He authored "Open Mike: A Memoir," which explores his personal experiences, including childhood trauma and challenges faced throughout his career in sports broadcasting. The memoir addresses themes of trauma, healing, and self-discovery. Hill has served as emcee for the Ed Block Courage Award banquet, the Southwestern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame induction, and the closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics USA Games, reflecting his credibility and presence within the sports and entertainment industries.
