Mike Gitlin

Mike Gitlin is the president and chief executive officer of Capital Group, a leading investment management organization overseeing $2.9 trillion in assets. With more than three decades of experience in the investment industry, Gitlin has held leadership roles across global financial markets, including positions at T. Rowe Price and Citigroup Global Markets before joining Capital Group. His tenure at Capital Group began with a mandate to build a fixed income business, contributing to the firm's position as an active fixed income manager with over $500 billion in assets under management.

As CEO, Gitlin chairs both the Capital Group Management Committee and Finance Committee, guiding the company’s long-term strategy and client-focused mission. He has experience bridging investment, client-facing, and operational expertise, and is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Milken Institute Global Conference. Gitlin has contributed to expanding Capital Group’s product offerings, including the launch of ETFs and the integration of AI-driven perspectives, while maintaining a focus on delivering long-term results for clients.

In addition to his executive leadership, Gitlin supports social impact initiatives, including veterans’ programs through the Catch A Lift Fund and service on the Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
