Mike Bryan

Mike Bryan, a retired American professional tennis player, is recognized globally for his skill in doubles tennis. Bryan's achievements are marked by a record 506 weeks as world No. 1 in men's doubles and a record ten times ending the year as No. 1. His triumphs encompass a record 128 ATP Tour-level doubles titles, including 22 majors: 18 in men's doubles and four in mixed doubles. Alongside his twin brother, Bob Bryan, the duo was named the ATP Team of the Decade for the 2000s. The Bryan brothers completed the career Golden Slam at the 2012 London Olympics, a feat Bryan later replicated with partner Jack Sock, winning two majors and the 2018 ATP Finals.

During his time at Stanford University, Bryan contributed to the team's back-to-back NCAA team championships in 1997 and 1998, and also won the NCAA doubles title with Bob Bryan in 1998. His contribution to American tennis has been significant, with a Davis Cup record of 28 wins and 5 losses, holding U.S. records for individual doubles wins (27) and ties played (32). He has also represented the United States in the Olympics, securing a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in men's doubles. Bryan has also won multiple ATP Masters 1000 events and ATP Finals in doubles, demonstrating his skill and consistency in top-tier tournaments.

In 2015, Mike, along with Bob Bryan, received the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year award. His dedication to the sport is evident in his record for the Most Weeks at World No. 1 in doubles, a record he achieved with Bob Bryan. Bryan announced his retirement from professional tennis in 2020, concluding a legendary doubles partnership with his brother Bob Bryan. His accolades and contributions to the sport were recognized in 2025 when he was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame.
