Mike Minter

Mike Minter is a former NFL safety and college football coach known for his extensive experience in football leadership and player development. Minter was a two-time national champion at Nebraska, where he played linebacker, free safety, and strong safety for the Cornhuskers. He earned three all-conference selections and was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame. Minter was selected 56th overall by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the NFL Draft, beginning a significant career with the franchise.

Minter played 10 seasons as a safety in the National Football League with the Carolina Panthers, serving as a key figure in the team's defense. He contributed to three playoff appearances, an NFC Championship, and a Super Bowl XXXVIII berth. In the Super Bowl, Minter recorded 18 tackles and continued to play after sustaining a broken left foot. He retired holding franchise records for game starts, consecutive starts, fumble recoveries, and interceptions returned for touchdowns. Minter was named to the Panthers' Silver Season Team, which recognizes the top players from each position in the team's history.

After his playing career, Minter moved into coaching, beginning at the high school level before serving as a college assistant. He was later hired as head coach at Campbell University, where he guided the program through its transition to the FCS level of Division I. Under Minter's leadership, Campbell set multiple school records, produced numerous all-conference selections and All-Americans, and achieved three consecutive winning seasons.

Minter currently serves as a defensive analyst for Western Michigan University. Outside of football, he is CEO of Minter Enterprises, a business involved in real estate development, general contracting, construction, business consultation, publishing, public speaking, and youth development through a non-profit organization. Minter is a keynote speaker on topics such as teamwork, personal growth, leadership, and sports motivation, sharing insights from his football career and coaching experience.
