Miguel Cervantes Biography
Miguel Cervantes is an American actor, singer and activist. He played the role of Alexander Hamilton in the Chicago production of Hamilton from September 2016 until the production closed in January 2020. He currently plays the role in the Broadway production.
Cervantes' other Broadway credits include "If/Then" with Idina Menzel, the R&R Boyfriend in "American Idiot," Chip Tolentino in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
Cervantes and his wife had a daughter, Adelaide, die tragically in October 2019 at the age of three from a severe and rare form of epilepsy. Since then, her parents and surviving older brother have advocated tirelessly for epilepsy awareness and treatment. Her life inspired the "My Shot at Epilepsy" fundraising campaign, donations for which support an organization called Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE).
