Michaela Watkins

Michaela Watkins is an actress, comedian, and improviser known for her work in film, television, and sketch comedy. Watkins graduated from Boston University's School of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater and began her career in regional theater before moving to Los Angeles. There, she joined The Groundlings, an improv and sketch comedy troupe recognized for developing comedic talent in Hollywood. During her tenure with The Groundlings, Watkins was cast as a featured player on "Saturday Night Live," where she performed impressions of Arianna Huffington, Barbara Walters, Joan Rivers, and Hoda Kotb, and created original characters such as the celebrity blogger Angie Tempura.

Following her time on "Saturday Night Live," Watkins secured recurring roles on television series including "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Enlightened." She starred in Hulu's comedy-drama "Casual," which received a Golden Globe nomination, and appeared in ABC's "Trophy Wife" as well as Amazon's "Transparent."
