Michael Obradovitch

Michael Obradovitch is a senior global business leader shaping the future of data center cooling and sustainability as vice president of Data Center Cooling Solutions at Ecolab, a global leader in water, hygiene and environmental technologies. In this role, Obradovitch works at the intersection of engineering, operations and sustainability, helping some of the world’s largest technology companies optimize thermal management for mission-critical infrastructure.

Obradovitch brings a rare cross-disciplinary background to his work. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, experience that informs his strategic approach to innovation, intellectual property and complex enterprise solutions.

Over more than two decades with Ecolab and its Nalco Water business, Obradovitch has led global account strategies focused on advanced cooling technologies, water treatment programs and performance-driven sustainability initiatives. His work has helped data center operators respond to rising compute densities, high-performance computing demands and the growing energy-water challenges associated with modern digital infrastructure.

In his current role, Obradovitch oversees solutions that improve cooling efficiency, operational reliability and return on investment across global data center portfolios. He collaborates closely with customers to deploy scalable approaches to liquid cooling, water stewardship and thermal optimization as artificial intelligence and cloud computing continue to push infrastructure limits.

A frequent speaker and industry contributor, Obradovitch is recognized for his thought leadership on data center cooling innovation, smart water management and sustainable design. He is known for advocating a holistic view of resource efficiency — one that aligns operational resilience with long-term environmental responsibility.
