Michael Fiddelke

Michael Fiddelke is the Chief Executive Officer of Target, a position that sees him leading a vast team of over 400,000 members. His journey to the top of the retail giant is far from typical, having risen from the position of an intern to that of CEO. This unique experience has given Fiddelke a profound understanding of the business, as well as an ability to foster relationships across various teams. His strategic priorities for Target include leading with merchandising authority, elevating the guest experience, accelerating technology, and strengthening team and communities.

Prior to his current position, Fiddelke held several other leadership roles within Target, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In these capacities, he oversaw significant investments in the company's infrastructure and digital capabilities, further solidifying his knowledge of the retail industry and his proficiency in strategic planning and implementation. Besides his tenure at Target, Fiddelke has also sharpened his skills at Deloitte Consulting, LLP.

In addition to his duties at Target, Fiddelke serves on the executive committee of the National Retail Federation and on the board of the Retail Industry Leaders Association. His educational background includes an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Iowa, further establishing his credentials in the realm of retail management and leadership.
