Michael Dimock

As president of Pew Research Center, Michael Dimock leads the research, outreach, operations and strategic planning for one of the preeminent non-profit research organizations in the world. During his tenure, Dimock has led the organization through global expansion, data innovation, structural reorganization, brand consolidation, partnership development, and the constant evolution of stakeholder engagement and audience impact strategies to maximize the organization’s distinctive and essential mission in an ever-changing technological, political and informational landscape. Dimock has been a frequent commentator on public opinion and politics for major media organizations and has appeared as a guest analyst on numerous television and radio programs. He has published articles on voting behavior, public opinion and survey methodology, and is a sought-after speaker, having presented at such venues as the Aspen Ideas Festival, Milken Institute Global Conference, Chatham House and various professional symposia.

He received his PhD in political science from the University of California San Diego and his BA in political science from the University of Houston. Before joining Pew Research Center, he was a political science professor at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.
