Megan Ganz is a television comedy writer known for her work on several prominent sitcoms. She began her professional career as an associate editor at satirical news outlet The Onion, where she developed her comedic writing skills. A feature appearance on This American Life with other Onion staff members led to opportunities in television writing.

Ganz transitioned to television as a writer for the Comedy Central sketch show "Important Things with Demetri Martin," which marked the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.
