Megan Basham

Megan Basham is a New York Times bestselling author and culture reporter whose work focuses on the intersection of faith, media, and politics. As a culture reporter with The Daily Wire, Basham contributes regularly to the news podcast "Morning Wire." Over a 13-year tenure at World Magazine, she advanced from film critic to entertainment editor and co-host of its flagship news podcast, The World and Everything in It. Basham is also recognized as a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic.

Basham began her career as a film critic for her campus newspaper at Arizona State University. After earning a degree in English literature, she worked as an adult curriculum editor at University of Phoenix. She later became a staff writer for Christian Spotlight on Entertainment, conducting interviews with public figures such as Morgan Freeman, Holly Hunter, Liv Tyler, and Orlando Bloom. Her reporting and commentary have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph, First Things, and National Review, among other publications.

Basham has provided commentary on FOX News, MSNBC, BBC, CBN, The Today Show, Newsmax, and NewsNation, as well as various regional television and radio news broadcasts. She has been a Novak Journalism Fellow and a Lincoln Fellow at the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy. She received the Boniface Award from the Association of Classical Christian Schools for her journalism.

Basham is the author of two books. Her first, "Beside Every Successful Man: Getting the Life You Want By Helping Your Husband Get Ahead," explores how women can support their families' financial security by contributing their skills and education to their husbands' careers. Her second book, "Shepherds for Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda," examines the influence of progressive leaders on the American church.

During the publication of her second book, Basham underwent treatment for colon cancer, a journey she discussed in her writing for outlets including The Washington Post.
