Max Keiser

Max Keiser is an American-Salvadoran broadcaster, filmmaker, and commentator in global finance and cryptocurrency. Keiser began his career as a stockbroker on Wall Street before transitioning into financial technology entrepreneurship.

He co-founded the Hollywood Stock Exchange, a virtual trading platform for entertainment content, where he developed virtual securities such as MovieStocks and StarBonds, as well as the Hollywood Dollar, an early fully convertible virtual currency. His work on the Hollywood Stock Exchange led to a U.S. patent for Virtual Specialist technology and a presenting role on "Rumble at the Box Office" for NBC's Access Hollywood, which launched his media career. He also produced and hosted the weekly talk show "Buy, Sell, Hold" for CBS Radio's KLSX in Los Angeles.

Keiser's broadcasting career expanded with his production and appearances in the Al Jazeera English TV series "People & Power," where he created documentary films examining global financial markets. He presented a season of "The Oracle with Max Keiser" on BBC World News and anchored "On the Edge" on Press TV. His work on "The Keiser Report" on RT, which ran for more than 1,500 episodes, focused on financial news, banking practices, and interviews with economists, technologists, and early cryptocurrency entrepreneurs. Alongside co-host Stacy Herbert, the show became known for its analysis of cryptocurrency and global finance.

Keiser is recognized as an early advocate for Bitcoin, providing extensive coverage to international audiences and distinguishing himself from mainstream financial commentators. He has been involved with Bitcoin since its early days and, together with Herbert, launched "The Orange Pill Podcast," a program that explores Bitcoin, economics, politics, and pop culture.

Keiser has played a significant role in El Salvador's Bitcoin initiatives, serving as a senior Bitcoin advisor to President Nayib Bukele and contributing to the creation of the National Bitcoin Office. He promoted the concept of Volcano Bonds—Bitcoin-backed financial instruments—and became chairman and president of Volcano Energy, a renewable energy and Bitcoin mining project. Keiser also co-founded El Zonte Capital, a venture firm focused on advancing Bitcoin adoption through investments in startups within the Bitcoin economy. He has briefed U.S. policymakers on El Salvador's Bitcoin strategy and its impact on the country's economic development.
