Arkansas native Matt Stell has built a career defined by emotional honesty, musical authenticity, and a powerful blend of country, rock, and Americana influences. After an early life shaped by classic country and diverse influences like Alanis Morissette and Oasis, Stell began his musical journey playing college bars while earning a basketball scholarship at Drury University. He eventually relocated to Nashville in 2014, working various jobs while honing his songwriting skills. Stell broke through in 2019 with the 2×- platinum hit “Prayed For You,” followed by another No. 1 single, “Everywhere But On.” The success earned him national TV appearances, a Grand Ole Opry debut, and over half a billion global streams.
His latest EP, One Of Us, showcases his growth as both a writer and artist, with songs reflecting small-town life, love, and personal growth. Blending country roots with indie and Red Dirt sensibilities, he continues to refine a sound that’s as emotionally resonant as it is musically distinct.
Stell, who nearly pursued a medical career after a mission trip to Haiti, remains committed to giving back through his Give A Damn Foundation.
