Matt Chandler Biography
Matt Chandler is a pastor, elder, author, and conference speaker with a focus on Christian leadership, church planting, and theological training. Chandler has served as lead pastor at The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas, where he continues to preach and provide leadership following the transition of its five campuses into autonomous churches. He is also president of the Acts 29 Network, a global church-planting organization that trains and equips church planters internationally, and is recognized for his contributions to expanding the network’s theological training and global presence.
Chandler frequently speaks at conferences and events and is the author of several books and Bible study resources, addressing topics such as suffering, perseverance, and hope from a Christian perspective. He has publicly discussed his diagnosis and recovery from brain cancer, often incorporating these experiences into his teaching. Chandler lives in Texas with his wife, Lauren, and their three children, Audrey, Reid, and Norah.
