Matt Atkenson

Matt Atkenson is the executive director of sales and operations for Ford Pro in North America, overseeing production planning, inventory management, vehicle allocation, and scheduling for Ford’s commercial vehicle division. With more than two decades at Ford, Atkenson has held roles including U.S. field operations manager, national commercial and industrial manager, and U.S. retail communications manager. He also chairs the Ford Pro Dealer Council and the Fleet Advisory Board, focusing on expanding dealer network capabilities and strengthening relationships with dealers and fleet customers.

Atkenson is recognized for his expertise in aligning Ford Pro’s operations with the needs of North American businesses, particularly through initiatives supporting small businesses and commercial fleets. He has served as a spokesperson at industry events and in media appearances, including the Aspen Ideas Festival, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Fox Business, addressing topics such as fleet strategy realignment and the impact of tariffs on the automotive sector. Under Atkenson’s leadership, Ford Pro has expanded its mobile service offerings and earned multiple Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards for Ford’s trucks and vans, reflecting the division’s focus on value and efficiency for commercial customers.

A graduate of Purdue University with an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Atkenson emphasizes a collaborative approach and operational excellence.
