Mary-Catherine Lader

Mary-Catherine Lader is a digital finance and FinTech innovation leader and the former president and chief operating officer of Uniswap Labs, where she contributed to scaling the company within the decentralized finance sector. At Uniswap Labs, Lader oversaw commercial strategy and operations, leading non-engineering functions including finance, business development, marketing, and public policy. During her tenure, Uniswap Labs launched a suite of consumer and institutional products, raised capital, and expanded its team, establishing its products among widely used applications in decentralized finance.

Lader’s career spans finance and technology, with previous senior leadership roles at BlackRock. At BlackRock, she founded and led the firm’s digital assets initiative, served as global chief operating officer of BlackRock Digital Wealth, and was the founder and global head of Aladdin Sustainability & Aladdin Climate. She also led strategic investments in fintech companies and initiated BlackRock’s AI Labs in partnership with Stanford University. Lader began her career as an investor in Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, gaining experience during the financial crisis and focusing on innovation in financial services.

Lader has been featured at industry events such as the Bloomberg Crypto Summit and the Milken Institute Global Conference, and was named to Fortune 40 Under 40 for her work in decentralized finance. She serves on the board of Tech:NYC and is a member of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Global Markets Advisory Committee.
