Mary Foley

Mary Foley offers entertaining advice to increase busy women’s career confidence. She shares from her experience in both working for others and working for herself.

Her career in corporate America started by ditching her engineering degree from VA Tech for a 10-year career with America Online where she started as an $8 an hour customer service rep and rose to become the company’s first head of corporate training.

Even while experiencing success, her confidence was tested again and again. She survived six layoffs, a difficult marriage, and bumped her head on the glass ceiling (even though she’s only 5’ 2” tall).

Not satisfied to settle, Mary reached deep inside to find her inner courage - the bodaciousness - to reinvent her life. She earned a Master’s degree in Organization Development, became co-owner of an HR company, started her own business, and wrote her first book, all by the age of 36.

Today, Mary is the author of three books, featured blogger on WorkingMother.com, and creator of the video program “Keys to Being a Confident, Courageous, Career-Savvy Woman.” When she’s not writing or creating videos, she’s presenting and facilitating live programs or being a personal career mentor.

Mary has been co-host of the "Girlfriend, We Gotta Talk" radio show, and to even her surprise, she has appeared on the cover of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and spoofed on the E! Entertainment TV Show "The Soup." That’s why she believes every woman needs a red cape.
