Mary Dillon

Mary N. Dillon has been the Chief Executive Officer of Ulta Beauty, Inc. since July 1, 2013 and serves as its President. Dillon has more than 25 years of experience in leading consumer-driven businesses and building brands.

She served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of United States Cellular Corporation from June 1, 2010 to June 22, 2013. She served as Secretary at Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association since January 1, 2011. She served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of McDonald's Corp. from October 3, 2005 to June 1, 2010. She oversaw McDonald's worldwide marketing efforts and global brand strategy across 118 countries. She served as Global Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald's Restaurants Limited. Prior to McDonald's, she served as President of Quaker Foods division of The Quaker Oats Company, Inc. from September 2004 to September 2005.

She began her career in marketing for Quaker Oats in 1984 and held several positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Marketing for Gatorade. Prior to joining McDonald’s Corporation, she held various positions at PepsiCo Corporation for approximately five years. Dillon served as Vice President of Marketing of Quaker Foods from 2002 to 2004, Vice President of Marketing at Gatorade and Propel Fitness Waters from 2000 to 2002, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Gardenburger, Inc. from 1996 to 2000 and Director of Product Offerings at Snapple Natural Beverages from 1995 to 1996.

She served as the Vice President of Retail Marketing of Gardenburger Company since July 1996. Dillon began her career as a Marketing Associate for Aunt Jemima Syrup at Quaker in 1984. Dillon served as Director of Marketing at Quaker, where she was employed from 1984 to 1996. During that time, she focused on consumer marketing and general management across many product categories and was a Senior Manager for products such as snacks, pet foods and beverages.

Dillon has been the Chairperson of CTIA Wireless Internet Caucus since January 1, 2013 and serves as its Director. She has been an Independent Director at Starbucks Corporation since January 04, 2016. She has been a Director of Ulta Beauty, inc. since July 1, 2013. She serves as a Director for Northshore University HealthSystem. She has been a Trustee at Save The Children Federation, Incorporated since February 2016. She served as a Director of United States Cellular Corporation from June 1, 2010 to June 22, 2013. She served as Director at Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association since January 1, 2011. She served as an Independent Director at Target Corp. from September 12, 2007 to June 24, 2013. She is a Member of The Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Network. She serves on the Boards of several non-profits, including the Ounce of Prevention Fund, World Business Chicago, the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago and Loyola Academy.

She is a Board Member of Housing Opportunities for Women and a United Way Volunteer. She serves on the Civic Committee of The Commercial Club of Chicago. She was named one of FierceWireless' "Most Influential Women in Wireless" in 2011. She was Named to Fortune's Business Person of the Year list in 2015. Dillon received Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Asian Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
