Martin Lundstedt

Martin Lundstedt is a distinguished Swedish business executive serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Volvo Group since October 22, 2015. He holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management and Technology from Chalmers University of Technology.

Lundstedt began his career at Scania in 1992, where he held various senior management positions over 23 years, culminating in his appointment as President and CEO in 2012. In October 2015, he transitioned to the Volvo Group, bringing with him extensive experience in development, production, and sales within the commercial vehicle industry.

Under Lundstedt's leadership, the Volvo Group has focused on growth and increased profitability, building on its strong brands and global presence. He is known for his engaging leadership style and commitment to fostering teamwork and innovation within the company.

Beyond his role at Volvo, Lundstedt serves as Chairman of Permobil AB and is a board member of Autoliv Inc., the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Sweden, and the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) Commercial Vehicle Board. He is also a member of the European Round Table of Industry (ERT) and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Previously, he co-chaired the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport.

Lundstedt's extensive experience and leadership have significantly contributed to the advancement of the commercial vehicle industry, particularly in areas of sustainable transport and industrial innovation.
