Martin Brundle

Martin Brundle, a British former racing driver and broadcaster, has a rich history in motorsport. His career began in 1984 with the Tyrrell Racing Organisation in Formula One, leading him to win the World Sportscar Championship in 1988 with a record points haul. Brundle's success didn't stop there, as he also won the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Daytona 24 Hours in 1988. After his retirement from racing, Brundle served as a commentator for ITV, the BBC, and Sky Sports F1, offering his extensive knowledge and insights during live races.

Over the years, Brundle has received several accolades for his contribution to the sport. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2025 New Year Honours and has won six Royal Television Society Awards for sports broadcasting. Brundle's broadcasting work includes his pre-race grid walks, which began at the 1997 British Grand Prix and are now a customary feature of his presentations. Apart from his broadcasting career, Brundle has also released two books, "Working the Wheel" in 2004 and "The Martin Brundle Scrapbook" in 2013, co-authored with Philip Porter.

Brundle's influence extended beyond the racetrack and the commentator's booth. He was depicted by Charlie Hamblett in the Netflix miniseries "Senna," released in 2024. His involvement in driver management and ownership of 2MB Sports Management until January 2009 further demonstrates his multifaceted involvement in the world of motorsport.
