Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews is a tight end in the National Football League, recognized for his contributions to the Baltimore Ravens. Andrews played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners, transitioning from wide receiver to tight end during his collegiate career. He received the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation's top tight end. Andrews concluded his three-year tenure at Oklahoma with 22 touchdown receptions, ranking sixth among all receivers, and recorded the most receiving yards by a tight end in school history with 1,765.

Selected by the Ravens in the third round of the NFL Draft, Andrews established himself as a leading pass-catcher in professional football. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times and was named to the All-Pro Team after setting franchise records for single-season receptions and receiving yards. Andrews recorded 107 receptions in a single season, marking the first 100-catch season by a Ravens tight end and joining a select group of tight ends in NFL history to reach that milestone.

Throughout his career, Andrews has set franchise records for career receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, surpassing previous marks held by former Ravens players. He signed a three-year contract extension with Baltimore, further solidifying his role with the team. Andrews has overcome significant challenges, including a serious leg injury, and continues to be a key contributor for the Ravens.

Off the field, Andrews is an advocate for individuals living with type 1 diabetes. Diagnosed at age nine, he has worked to raise awareness and educate the public about the condition. Andrews has served as a Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador, participated in Breakthrough T1D Walks, and supported the organization through the NFL My Cause My Cleats campaign. His advocacy includes sharing his personal experiences and assisting others in managing diabetes-related emergencies. Andrews has stated his commitment to demonstrating that type 1 diabetes does not limit his ability to succeed in professional sports.
