Maria Ramos

Maria Ramos is a leading international journalist and TV news anchor at TRT World London. Anchoring the flagship news program "News Hour," she delivers breaking news and global headlines. Her recent coverage includes Trump’s tariffs, the U.S. presidential elections, the Gaza conflict, and the Russia–Ukraine war.

Ramos’ journalism career spans global outlets including BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, Bahrain TV, and UNICEF. She has reported across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

Born in the UK to Spanish parents, Ramos is multilingual -- fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, with working knowledge of classical Arabic and Turkish. A King’s College London graduate, she mentors aspiring journalists through King’s and Women in Journalism UK.

Beyond the newsroom, Ramos is a highly sought-after master of ceremonies and moderator, regularly leading high-level international and government events. Her focus areas include humanitarian, environmental, and global affairs, with clients such as the European Parliament and the United Nations (UN), in particular, for UN World Tourism Day in Riyadh.

An ardent advocate for sustainability, she has worked as Media Advisor to the CEO of Formula E, the world’s premier electric car racing series. She was instrumental in building global media and institutional relationships, including with the UN and Greenpeace.

Ramos co-founded a UK–Spain media consultancy advising European firms on sustainability and infrastructure across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East in order to elevate voices and stories from her heritage. She is developing a new TV program showcasing leading voices from the Hispanic world launching soon.
