Marcia Skervin

Marcia Moriah Skervin is a Jamaican human resource consultant, mindset coach, author, and international transformational speaker with a career focused on human resource management, business communication, and leadership development. Skervin holds academic credentials from University College of the Caribbean, Edexcel/RDI UK, and University of Sunderland, with studies in human resource management, business communication, marketing, public relations, and life and behavior coaching certified through the International Coaching Federation. She holds the distinction of being appointed as Jamaica's youngest justice of the peace.

Skervin is the founder of Connect Your Dots, a platform that provides mentoring, motivational speaking, life coaching, and stress management services for corporate clients and educational institutions. She has served as a human resource manager at BH Paints, contributing more than 20 years of HR expertise. Skervin is a certified trainer representative for the International Labour Organization's entrepreneurship programs, Start Your Business and Grow Your Business, following certification from the Training Academy in Turin, Italy. She has also collaborated with the Food and Agriculture Organisation, coaching farmers throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean on business development and entrepreneurship.

As a speaker and author, Skervin addresses topics such as work-life balance, women in business, goal setting, personal development, and professional networking. She is the author of "My Life in Poetry, Expressions of My Soul" and "Broken Wings," which explore her personal journey and commitment to inspiring others. Her coaching approach integrates mindset therapy, mindfulness, and resilience coaching, with a focus on supporting mid-level female business professionals in achieving clarity, direction, and confidence.

In addition to her professional roles, Skervin is active in civic engagement and philanthropy. She has served on the boards of Women's Media Watch, Coalition 51, National Integrity Action, Women Business Owners Jamaica, and the Lay Magistrates Association. Skervin is also involved with the JMMB Conversation of Greatness initiative, working with school principals and teachers to promote a growth mindset among youth. As a radio presenter, she has worked both locally and internationally, including co-hosting Reggae Matrix on New Style Radio UK. Skervin's experience in human resources, leadership development, and coaching positions her as a knowledgeable voice for audiences worldwide.
