Lucia Osborne-Crowley

Lucia Osborne-Crowley is an British-Australian journalist, legal commentator, and author whose work explores justice, human rights, gender, and the law. Born in London and raised in Brisbane and Sydney, she graduated with First Class Honours in International Studies from the University of Sydney in 2013 before earning a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of New South Wales in 2018, where she was shortlisted for Valedictorian.

Osborne-Crowley began her journalism career in 2014 at the Center for Investigative Reporting in San Francisco and has since built an international reporting portfolio spanning law, politics, and social issues. She has worked as a staff reporter for Women’s Agenda and The Wall Street Journal and currently serves as a court reporter for Law360 in London, covering some of the United Kingdom’s most significant legal institutions, including the High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court, and the European Court of Justice. In addition, she contributes as a freelance writer and reporter to a range of prominent publications, including ABC News, The Huffington Post, GQ Australia, The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, and The Sunday Times.

Alongside her journalism career, Osborne-Crowley has extensive experience in the legal profession. She spent four years working in the class actions department at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and has served as a research assistant to the Dean of the UNSW Law School as well as to an arbitration judge in London and Vienna. Her legal research has focused on constitutional law, international law, and human rights.
