Luca Maestri

Luca Maestri is a business executive with more than three decades of experience in financial leadership across major global corporations. Maestri began his career at General Motors, where he spent 20 years in finance and operating roles in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. His responsibilities included establishing General Motors' regional Asia Pacific operations and serving as chief financial officer for the company's European operations, overseeing 45 countries and generating approximately $40 billion in annual net revenue. After his tenure at General Motors, Maestri served as chief financial officer at Nokia Siemens Networks and later at Xerox, where he managed investor relations, risk management, tax and audit operations, mergers and acquisitions, and finance.

Maestri joined Apple as vice president of finance and corporate controller before becoming chief financial officer and senior vice president. In this role, he led teams responsible for accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, real estate, investor relations, internal audit, and tax functions. Maestri brought extensive experience in building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity.

During his time at Apple, Maestri oversaw significant financial growth, with annual revenue more than doubling and services revenue expanding more than fivefold. He played a key role in Apple's capital return programs, including authorizing over $600 billion in stock repurchases, highlighted by the company's $110 billion buyback program. Maestri maintained a focus on operational efficiency, keeping expenses and corporate research low compared to other technology industry leaders.

Maestri later served as Apple's vice president of corporate services, reporting to CEO Tim Cook and overseeing information systems and technology, information security, real estate and development, Caffè Macs, and Claris. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Luiss University in Rome and a master's degree in science of management from Boston University.
