Lost Frequencies is the stage name of Belgian DJ and record producer Félix De Laet, known for his contributions to the electronic music and dance music industries. De Laet began exploring music production as a teenager, experimenting with jazz-influenced deep house tracks and trap beats before developing his signature sound. His breakthrough occurred when he remixed an Easton Corbin country track into the dance anthem "Are You with Me." After uploading the remix to SoundCloud, the track gained significant attention and led to a deal with Armada Music. "Are You with Me" reached the number one spot in 18 countries, making De Laet the first Belgian artist to top the UK charts and establishing his presence in the global electronic music scene.
Following this success, De Laet released several platinum-certified singles, including "Reality" featuring Janieck Devy, "Beautiful Life" featuring Sandro Cavazza, and "What Is Love," each achieving chart success across Europe. His debut album "Less Is More" and follow-up "Alive and Feeling Fine" reinforced his reputation for producing melodic electronic music. The collaboration with Calum Scott, "Where Are You Now," reached number one on the UK's Official Big Top 40 and Ireland's Top 50, achieved Platinum status in 14 territories, and accumulated over 1.7 billion combined streams. The track also earned De Laet a Brit Award nomination for Best International Song. His third studio album, "All Stand Together," features 11 tracks that blend electronic and pop elements, reflecting his ongoing musical evolution.
De Laet has received recognition throughout his career, including Echo Awards for Dance International and Hit of the Year, multiple MTV EMA and International Dance Music Awards honors, and the MIA Award for Best Dance. He has consistently ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll. With over 32 million monthly Spotify listeners and more than one billion streams on the platform twice, De Laet became the first Belgian musician to achieve this milestone. He also appeared on the debut cover of Forbes Magazine Belux. In addition to his studio work, De Laet founded the label Found Frequencies to support emerging artists and has performed at major music festivals such as Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Creamfields. He also hosts the arena event Lost Frequencies & Friends at Tomorrowland.
