Lisa Hendey

Lisa M. Hendey is an author, international speaker, and founder of CatholicMom.com, a prominent Catholic digital community. CatholicMom.com, established in 1999, attracts a global audience and features columns from more than 150 contributors on topics such as Catholic parenting, Natural Family Planning, and faith-based family life. The site was acquired by Holy Cross Family Ministries and received first place from the Catholic Press Association for best group or association blog.

Hendey has written several books for adults and children, including "I'm a Saint in the Making," "Jesus Every Day," "Jesus Every Way," "The Grace of Yes: Eight Virtues for Generous Living," "The Catholic Mom's Prayer Companion," and the "Chime Travelers" children's fiction series, which explores time travel and the lives of the saints. She serves as Editor-at-Large with Ave Maria Press, which publishes the Catholic Mom book imprint. Her adult nonfiction titles have received multiple Catholic Press Association awards, and she has also been recognized by the Association of Catholic Publishers for "A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms" and "The Grace of Yes."

The animated "Chime Travelers" series, based on Hendey's books, is produced by Family Theater Productions in partnership with Herald Entertainment and is available for streaming on Hallow and Formed. Hendey writes for the "Chime Travelers" television series and speaks internationally at schools, addressing topics such as literacy, storytelling, environmental stewardship, and purposeful living.

Hendey has appeared on CNN, EWTN, CatholicTV, KNXT, and in the "Momnipotent" DVD series. She contributed as a technology correspondent for EWTN's "SonRise Morning Show" and as a family correspondent on Relevant Radio. As an Egan Journalism Fellow with Catholic Relief Services, Hendey has traveled and reported from countries including Rwanda, the Philippines, India, Tanzania, Kenya, Australia, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia, supporting humanitarian missions. She has spoken at events such as the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, Catholic Marketing Network, University of Dallas Ministry Conference, National Catholic Youth Conference, Midwest Catholic Family Conference, and National Council of Catholic Women.

Hendey was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive lobular carcinoma and shares her experiences through writing and speaking, encouraging regular screening, wellness strategies, and community support. Her work addresses faith, family, health, and purpose, resonating with audiences navigating similar journeys.
