Lionel Boyce

Lionel Boyce is an American actor, writer, and producer whose career spans music, television, and film. Also known as L-Boy, Boyce began his entertainment career as a member of the hip hop collective Odd Future. He co-created the sketch comedy television series "Loiter Squad" and later collaborated with Earl Sweatshirt on the musical project "DJ Billy Jole." Boyce and Tyler, the Creator formed Bald Fade Productions, co-creating the adult animated sitcom "The Jellies!" This project established Boyce as a creative contributor both behind and in front of the camera.

Boyce is known for his role as Marcus Brooks, a pastry chef, in the comedy-drama series "The Bear." For the role, Boyce prepared by observing at Tartine bakery in Los Angeles and staging at Hart Bageri in Copenhagen. He also trained with the show's culinary producer before filming the episode "Honeydew." Boyce's performance in "Honeydew" earned him a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the Emmy Awards.
