Lindsay Czarniak

Lindsay Czarniak is an Emmy Award and Gracie Award-winning sports broadcaster known for her extensive experience in American sports television. With more than two decades covering major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, Super Bowls, and the Indianapolis 500 for networks including ESPN, NBC Sports, and FOX Sports, Czarniak has established a career spanning multiple sports disciplines. She has served as host, sideline reporter, and pit reporter for NFL, NASCAR, MLB, NBA, and horse racing coverage.

Czarniak began her career in local television before joining WRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a sports anchor and reporter. At WRC-TV, she anchored daily sportscasts, reported from major events, and hosted "Sport Final," "Redskins Report," and "The Coaches Show" with Mike Shanahan. She also hosted and produced "Lunch with Lindsay," a segment featuring interviews with athletes, politicians, and entertainers. During her tenure at WRC-TV, Czarniak co-hosted The George Michael Sports Machine and earned an Emmy Award. She was later called upon by NBC to serve as a pit reporter for NBC Sports' NASCAR coverage and as a host and sportsdesk reporter for NBC Sports' coverage of the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Czarniak joined ESPN, where she anchored "SportsCenter," "SportsNation," and "NASCAR Now." She became the first woman to host ABC's coverage of the Indianapolis 500, following broadcasters such as Jim McKay, Keith Jackson, Paul Page, and Al Michaels. She also contributed to "Sunday NFL Countdown" as a reporter and field host.

At FOX Sports, Czarniak worked as a NASCAR studio host for "NASCAR Race Hub: Weekend Edition" and Thursday "NASCAR Race Hub" shows, as well as a FOX NFL sideline reporter. Her work includes contributions to CBS's Superstar Racing Experience and NBC's coverage of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. She also hosted Netflix's reality racing competition series, "Hyperdrive." Czarniak co-hosted the 54th Annual Eclipse Awards at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida, celebrating achievements in Thoroughbred horse racing.

Czarniak has expanded her presence through podcasting and philanthropy. Her podcast "Lunch with Lindsay" features conversations with athletes, musicians, and newsmakers, including Eric Church, Chase Elliott, and Chris Paul. She received a Gracie Award for her podcast "Important Conversations with Lindsay Czarniak." Czarniak co-founded the Lindsay A. Czarniak Scholarship at James Madison University to support journalism students in the School of Media Arts and Design. Her career reflects a commitment to sports journalism, storytelling, and supporting the next generation of media professionals.
