Linda Elsegood

Linda Elsegood is a patient advocate, author, and founder of the LDN Research Trust, a UK-registered nonprofit charity focused on raising awareness of and funding research into low dose naltrexone (LDN). Elsegood's involvement in LDN advocacy began after her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis, which led to significant health challenges. After learning about LDN through online communities and starting treatment, she experienced an improvement in her symptoms, which motivated her to establish the LDN Research Trust to support others facing similar health issues.

Under Elsegood's leadership, the LDN Research Trust has become a leading organization in LDN advocacy, assisting more than 100,000 people in obtaining LDN prescriptions through the National Health Service or private practitioners. The trust operates on a volunteer basis, funded by donations, and maintains a global network of medical and pharmacy advisers, researchers, prescribers, and patients. Elsegood has conducted over 320 interviews with LDN-prescribing doctors, scientists, and patients, documenting the real-world impact of LDN. The trust has produced six documentaries, hosted conferences and seminars, and runs the LDN Radio Show, available on major podcast platforms.

Elsegood is the editor of a book series on LDN, including "The LDN Book: How a Little-Known Generic Drug — Low Dose Naltrexone — Could Revolutionize Treatment for Autoimmune Diseases, Cancer, Autism, Depression, and More," which compiles contributions from medical professionals and serves as a resource for doctors, pharmacists, and patients. The series includes "The LDN Book, Volume Two" and "The LDN Book 3: Low Dose Naltrexone: The Latest Research on Viral Infections, Long COVID, Mold Toxicity, Longevity, Cancer, Depression and More," reflecting the expanding research on LDN. The trust also released "New Horizons," a volume highlighting two decades of advocacy and patient stories.

As a keynote speaker, Elsegood addresses topics in medicine, neuroscience, autoimmune disease, and health and wellness, offering the perspective of a patient advocate. Her work has contributed to the recognition of LDN as a treatment option considered by physicians worldwide. Through radio broadcasts, documentaries, global conferences, and an informational website, Elsegood continues to connect patients and the medical community, supporting those living with autoimmune diseases, cancer, and chronic pain conditions.
