Lennox Lewis

Lennox Lewis is recognized as one of the most accomplished heavyweight boxers in the history of professional boxing. A three-time world heavyweight champion and two-time lineal champion, Lewis is the last heavyweight to hold the undisputed title. He became the first British boxer since Bob Fitzsimmons to claim the undisputed world heavyweight championship. As an amateur, Lewis compiled a record of 85-9 and earned a gold medal for Team Canada at the Seoul Olympics.

Lewis began his professional boxing career and secured the European title and the British Commonwealth Heavyweight title. He captured the vacant WBC belt by defeating Tony Tucker and later unified the heavyweight division by defeating Evander Holyfield in a rematch, adding the IBF and IBO titles to his achievements. Throughout his career, Lewis suffered two losses, both of which he avenged by knockout in rematches. He reclaimed the WBC crown for the third time by knocking out Hasim Rahman, joining Rocky Marciano and Gene Tunney as the only heavyweights to retire without an unavenged defeat. Lewis's victory over Mike Tyson became one of the highest-grossing pay-per-view boxing events for several years.

Alongside Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield, Lewis is one of three boxers to win the heavyweight championship three times. His tactical approach and physical presence established him as a significant figure in the boxing world. Lewis has been honored with a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II. He is an inductee of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, the World Boxing Council Hall of Fame, the World Boxing Hall of Fame, and the International Boxing Hall of Fame. The World Boxing Council also commemorated Lewis by featuring his image on the WBC Heavyweight championship belt.

Following his retirement, Lewis has remained active in the boxing industry as an analyst for HBO on "Boxing After Dark" and as a FOX Sports analyst for Premier Boxing Champions events. He has appeared in films and television shows, including "Ocean's Eleven" and "The Simpsons." Outside of media, Lewis is involved in business, philanthropy, and charitable initiatives, contributing to the Muhammad Ali Center, serving as an ambassador for Laureus, and founding the Lennox Lewis League of Champions. Lewis frequently discusses his career and the lessons learned, offering insights into the sport and personal development.
