As former Enforcement Director of the Swedish Government, Bäcker handled the supervision of one Europes largest bankruptcy with Saab Automobile and the Swedish part of Task Force for Greece, Greek debt crises, building consensus across borders and strengthening resilience in turbulent times.

For seven years, Bäcker was Chair of the EU High Level Think Tank (European Association of Public Banks), and guided Europe’s largest public financial institutions, European Parliament, EU Commission, European Central-bank, European Investment-bank and governments across 44 countries through the global financial crises.
