Leanne Morgan is a stand-up comedian, actress, and author who gained fame through her relatable comedic style influenced by her humble beginnings in Middle Tennessee. She achieved widespread success with her first comedy special on YouTube, which clocked over 50 million views, and her Netflix special "Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman," which ranked among one of the highest-watched specials on the platform in 2023.
A graduate of The University of Tennessee, where she received a degree in Child and Family Studies, Morgan stumbled on a talent for comedy while selling jewelry at home parties as a young mother in the 1990s. After moving from Tennessee to San Antonio, she started attending open mic nights where she garnered the confidence to pursue her dream.
Morgan’s comedy has landed her at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and on a country-wide sold-out tour entitled "Just Getting Started."
She stars in Amazon Studio's upcoming "You're Cordially Invited," along with Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. Her first book, "What in the World?," is set to be published in September 2024.
Variety named Morgan one of the "Top 10 Comics to Watch" and Forbes added her to their "50 Over 50" list, both in 2023.
