LANY

LANY is a Los Angeles-based pop trio formed in Nashville by Paul Jason Klein, Leslie Priest, and Jake Goss. Klein, originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, joined Priest and Goss, both from Nashville, after meeting during a trip from Los Angeles to Nashville. The three musicians, all college-trained and multi-instrumentalists, decided to collaborate, leading to the creation of LANY. The band's name stands for Los Angeles New York.

LANY's music blends elements of 1980s radio pop, 1990s R&B soul, and atmospheric synths, establishing a signature sound within the indie pop and alternative music scenes. The group recorded their first two songs, "Hot Lights" and "Walk Away," in four days. They released their debut EP, "Acronyms," followed by the five-track EP "I Loved You." LANY built a following through touring with artists such as Troye Sivan, Ellie Goulding, Halsey, and X Ambassadors. The group later signed with Polydor Records and released the EP "Make Out," which included tracks from previous releases, notably the song "ILYSB." The track gained significant online traction, accumulating over 14 million streams.

While touring internationally, LANY released the single "Where the Hell Are My Friends," which was later included on the "kinda" EP. The band's consistent output and touring have established them as a prominent act in contemporary pop and synth-driven music.
