Kyra Reed

Kyra Reed is a digital marketing strategist and multi-entrepreneur recognized for building communities and driving brand innovation at the intersection of technology and emerging industries. Before co-founding her marketing ventures, Reed spent 15 years working with companies of various sizes and led the revitalization of the Roxy Theater and Sunset Strip in Los Angeles' entertainment district. The venue was among the first 19,000 accounts on Twitter, and by 2012, the Roxy hosted the largest Facebook and Twitter followings for music venues on social media, earning Reed the title of "Social Media Pioneer" from Entrepreneur Magazine. Her work in social media has also been featured in The New York Times, Tech Crunch, NPR, and 20/20.

Reed applied her digital expertise to the cannabis sector, becoming a prominent voice in cannabis marketing and community building. She launched Markyr Digital Cannabis, a digital marketing and social media strategy agency focused on the marijuana, hemp, and CBD industries, serving clients including growers, manufacturers, and dispensaries. Reed also co-founded Kadin Enterprises, the first digital training company for women in cannabis, with the goal of increasing female entrepreneurship in the industry to 50 percent. She is the author of "Blog 101," a beginner's guide to blogging, and a contributor to "The Power of Real-Time Social Media Marketing" by Beverly Macy.

Reed is committed to empowering women in the cannabis industry. She founded Women Empowered in Cannabis (WEiC), one of the largest cannabis networking groups for women, as well as WEiC:Careers, a job matching site for women in cannabis and companies committed to gender diversity and inclusion. Reed is also the founder of Lady Jane Society, an event production company focused on high-end retreats for women in cannabis, and Haus of Jane, a collaboration event with Tokeativity hosting virtual speed networking events for women working in cannabis. Through WEiC, Reed's groups offer weekly webinars, including "Mentor Mondays," which features discussions with industry experts on topics such as goal setting, product launch, liability, and compliance.

Reed was acknowledged as one of the "100 Most Important Women in Weed" by Green Market Report in consecutive years and received the Women's Leadership Award for community activism. She has guest-lectured at UCLA and USC and has spoken at conferences including SXSW, Digital Hollywood, Digital Music Forum West, Blog World, and ASCAP Expo. Reed has also been a featured speaker on branding and marketing at MJ BizCon, the Global Cannabis Conference, and New West Summit.
